Jody is the disciplinarian at our house. And everybody knows it. Including Sam and Jack. I get on the boys when I need to and even give the occasional spanking, but Jody is definitely the one who makes them listen...no excuses. I am known for "counting to three" 10 times (which I guess is really counting to thirty) before threatening them with a spanking or time-out. And while I think Jody may be a little tough sometimes, I know he thinks I'm a little too easy on the boys a lot of the time. But it works. We balance each other out and I think Sam and Jack are being raised with the right amount of discipline and plenty of love. A couple of nights ago, Jack kept running up and down the hall when he was supposed to be in bed watching a movie with Sam. Jody got on him, but he kept right on running. On about his third race down the hall Jody stopped him and I was lucky to be near my camera and catch this sweet exchange. Jody was firm yet kind and Jack stood there patiently listening to his Daddy. And I sat there smiling, thankful I was there to see it.

This is so sweet. Jody looks like he being so patient. Jack looks like "I've been Caught"...you will be seeing this scene more and more.

Look at that sweet face looking at his Daddy! How can you discipline that face? I guess that is why Daddy's are usually better at that discipline thing!
