On our recent trip to the beach, I shared some special moments with my youngest sweetie.
He was fussy and needy one night after dinner, so I scooped him up and we headed across the street to the beach.
With only a small bucket and my camera in hand, I was determined to take a few pictures of him and hoped to brighten his mood by offering him my undivided attention.
He carried his bucket proudly.
He picked up shells.
On at a time, he quickly dropped his selections in his bucket, and just as quickly, he dumped them out again.
He laughed.
He strutted.
He chased me.
He saw me attempting to take his picture, paused and said, "Eeeessseee! (cheese)"
He ran over to me, giggling and leaned on my shoulder, and said "Eeeessee!" again.
So I turned my camera around and made my little boy happy by snapping his picture with me.
The result?
A few unimpressive shots.
With my head cut in two.
But I will cherish them.
And I'll remember our time together that evening on the beach.
A special moment with the one I love so much.

How sweet! It is about time we see you in a picture. You are behind the camera so much that we don't get to see you with the boys. They need more pictures with their Mom. Joseph was about 5 years old and we were looking at pictures and he asked me why wasn't I ever there......I was the one behind the camera.
I love the beach pictures so much. What beautiful children. Love you all so much.
