Thank You

On the eve of your second birthday, a thank you note for you, my little boy.

Jack,
Thank you for 730 days of smiles and laughter. Thank you for not losing that dimple tucked sweetly in your right cheek. Thank you for countless hugs and cuddles and for sloppy, wet kisses. Thank you for being unpredictable. Thank you for being happy and carefree as you stumble through your days. Thank you for still grasping my hair as you go to sleep. Thank you for being so in love with your Daddy. Thank you for chasing behind me yelling, "Wait me, Mommy!"  Thank you for exuding joy.  Thank you for that sneaky grin that brings a smile to my face even as you're dumping a jug of milk onto the floor. Thank you for waking up every morning with a smile and a kiss for me. Thank you for calling the animals just like your Daddy does when we ride the Gator, " 'Mon, 'Mon." Thank you for waving at strangers as they drive past our house. Thank you for having the cutest run I've ever seen. Thank you for always saying, "I uv you too" and "I uv you mooore." Thank you for loving your brother. Thank you for teaching me that sleep is really overrated. Thank you for loving to try on hats. Thank you for dancing when Diego comes on. Thank you for not being a picky eater. Thank you for drawing beautiful masterpieces on your arms and legs with a ball point pen. Thank you for being different. Thank you for being silly. Thank you for showing us that you can remove any child safety device in a matter of seconds. Thank you for running naked through the playroom after bath time. Thank you for being spirited. Thank you for loving animals. Thank you for loving your grandparents and your great grandparents. Thank you for loving tractors. Thank you for being content with a piece of gum as a surprise. Thank you for running over to kiss Sam when he gets hurt. Thank you for admiring Cade and Cannon. Thank you for singing "You Are My Sunshine" with me whenever I ask you too. Thank you for having an infectious laugh. Thank you for loving Landry, in your own special way, through stolen hair bows and the occasional shove. Thank you for holding my hand. Thank you for wanting me when you're hurt or sad. Thank you for having an adorably innocent fear of falling. Thank you for being spunky. Thank you for being so determined. Thank you for giving me endless love. Thank you for showing me that my heart could double in size. Thank you for filling my days with such joy and promise. Thank you for changing my life the instant your eyes met mine, two short years ago. Thank you for making me a mother again. Thank you for being my middle child. Thank you for loving me and for allowing me to love you so deeply. Thank you for all you are today, all you will be tomorrow and all that you will surely become. I love you, I love you, I love you...more than you will ever know, my wonderful, two year old, joyful boy.
