We are working hard today in preparation for Jack's party. Making calico beans, setting up tables, cutting grass, ordering balloons, cleaning, making brownies, stuffing the pinata. Oh, and making cupcakes. Dora and Diego cupcakes that have taken over my entire day. Thank you Noggin for advertising these cupcakes where my youngest sees them regularly and begs for them. And thank you for making them look so, so easy. They aren't. Jody walked in, took one look at my creations and died laughing. He walked out saying something about "a whole family of Al Sharptons" while singing "We Are Family." I have all ideas I will hear a lot of snickering tomorrow when people pass by the dessert table. Anything for my baby. Jack wanted these cupcakes and I obliged. Even if making them has taken all day and will likely lead to a whole lot of embarrassment. I know the birthday boy will love them...and that's all that matters to me.
