Rewards

We began dishing out rewards today for the big potty breakthrough.  The boys, G-Ma and I headed to Build-A-Bear for Sam to build an animal of his choice.  He quickly picked a snow leopard since leopards are currently in his top five favorite animals.  He had no interest in any clothes or accessories since "animals don't wear clothes."  Since we bypassed all the pricey extras, I told Sam he could pick another animal to take home.  He chose a soft, white lamb that "looks just like the lambs at his house."

He chose a heart, gave it a sweet kiss and placed it inside each animal.  The stuffing machine startled him a little, but he stood there intently watching them come to life.

After hugging each of them and giving his approval that they were stuffed perfectly and felt just right, he was a happy boy to take his new animals home.  Not to be left out, Jack chose a small dog from one of the displays and wouldn't let it go.  So the dog came home with us too.
We headed to Kanki for lunch where our newest additions had their own seat at the table.
Jack took a bite of G-Ma's salad and soon had the bowl in front of him and was shoveling lettuce in his mouth as fast as he could.  We have yet to find a food that he won't try and 99 percent of the time he loves it.
The boys love Japanese food...especially the rice.  They also enjoy watching all the tricks and love the fire...when it doesn't nearly blind them.
After eating a good lunch, we headed over for cookies and soon both boys were snoozing.
The excitement continued into the night with another campfire and weenie roast.  Cade and Cannon brought Dalton and Parker and we tried out a new spot by the pond for the fire.   The pond was a little too swampy for fishing, but we roasted marshmallows and told scary stories until bedtime.
Next weekend we're headed to the zoo.  Maybe we've gone a little overboard with all the rewards, but with only one little one's stinky diaper to change around here now, I say it's all well worth it.  Well, well worth it.
