Cannon had his birthday party today. It was a superheroes party and all the kids that came were dressed up. We were supposed to have the party at our house but we got rained out and moved it to the high school gym. I had the daunting task of getting all four boys dressed in their costumes and at the party 15 minutes early. I was the superhero for pulling this off. Trying to adjust shoes, masks and gloves for four overly excited boys was quite a job. But we made it...and we were even on time.
Spider man, Wolverine, Batman and Captain America ready to hit the road for the party.
Landry came as "Super Landry" in a costume made by Ally and Nana. She was adorable.
Cutest Batman ever.
Two buddies waiting on the games to begin.
Cute little Morgan Kate as Bat girl. She and Jack would have made a great couple.
Tug-of-war...this is the only game Sam would participate it and he didn't really try at this. I don't know what it is about him at parties but he clams up and becomes super shy.
Parker, Dalton, Ethan and Cole tried to pull our boys across the line.
Ella as Cat woman... how cute is she?
Superheroes everywhere!
After games, it was time for Cannon to blow out the candles and dig into the cake.
Sam thought the cake was delicious.
Jack munching on chips...my cutie.
We had a great time at Cannon's party even though my two rarely participated in the activities. I don't think Sam understands that Cade and Cannon have lots of friends. He just doesn't seem to know what to do with himself when they are playing with others. This is one of the reasons I know he needs preschool...socialization. Sam is counting down the days now until his "big bear" party. He keeps telling me that he wants to be a mean rhinoceros now and I politely inform him that I've already bought him a bear costume and done his invitations so a bear party it is. He doesn't like me laying down the law. I'm thinking I should have done a basic animal party just to be safe with his ever changing ideas. We'll see who wins this battle.
