17 Months

17 Wonderful Things about the World's Cutest 17 Month Old:

1.  Can walk up and down stairs without holding on or taking one step at a time just like an adult...which makes his Mama cringe.

2.  Says "Mama" and "Dada" now when he needs to address us and we just love hearing it.  Also saying "Poppa" and "Papa" and they sure love hearing him say their names too.

3.  Loves, loves, loves when his Daddy pops popcorn and rushes over to crawl in his lap saying "pop, pop" the entire time.

4.  Wearing all size 2T clothes and size 6.5 (extra wide) shoes .

5.  Loves pretending to be a monster, dinosaur or other ferocious animal with his brother and cousins.  He can roar and growl like a champ.

6.  Nods his head very decisively when he needs to answer "Yes" to something.  I find myself asking him silly, unnecessary questions throughout the day just to see that over exaggerated, adorable nod.

7.  Has 10 teeth now and 6 more coming in.   All those teeth coming in and he is still happy, happy, happy.  

8.  Insists on eating the minute his feet hits the floor in the morning...just like his Daddy.

9.  Says "Ba Ba" when he wants something to drink.  We are trying to get rid of the bottles but he still begs for them.

10.  Loves running outside barefoot and has the bloody, bruised feet and legs to show for it.  His little toes always have a few boo-boos but he keeps on running...barefoot.

11.  So incredibly loving and sweet.  He loves to shower us with hugs, kisses and runs to greet us with his little arms stretched out as far as he can reach.  Seeing this never gets old.

12.  Loves bananas and says "nana" when he wants one.  He is a great little eater.

13.  Finally started sleeping all night this month...I am knocking on wood as I type this.

14.  His sweet little brown eyes look a little darker every day and his Mama sure loves staring at them.

15.  When he is being serious or is tired, his mouth always forms the perfect little pout.  His bottom lip turns down and he looks so precious.  This is one of my very favorite things about him.

16.  Loves singing the "ABCs along with the leap frog on the fridge.  He dances and tries his hardest to pronounce the letters.  

17.  Loves watching Noggin with Sam and he squeezes up beside him as close as he can which makes my heart smile.  

And I could go on and on and on.  Jack is just the sweetest, happiest most amazing little boy. Every day with him is a full of laughs, hugs, dances and kisses.  My heart overflows with love for this little boy and I feel so blessed to be his Mom.
