Milk

How much milk does it take at the Standley household?  Six gallons a week.  Minimum.  Some weeks it's seven or eight, but always at least six.  Our refrigerators inside the house and in my office are usually stocked with as many gallons as we can buy and drink before it expires.  Both boys are just like their Daddy...they really, really love milk.  I have been reprimanded by my pediatrician many times.  I have gotten braver and show no shame about the milk consumption around here.  I tell the docs I know it's more than you say they need, but unless you want to live with them, the milk stays.  I've tried juice and occasionally (maybe one cup out of thirty), they will drink it.  But they always, always ask for milk.  Jody's Mom says he and his brother were the same way all the way through high school...must be genetic.  $3.50 a gallon...six gallons a week...$21 a week...$1092 a year.  Do you think they'll understand when we tell them we can't pay for them to go to college because we spent all of our money on milk?
