Today is my four year wedding anniversary and although this blog is dedicated to the daily life of my boys, I felt it necessary to throw in a post to Jody on this special day.
So here goes...10 Things I Love About Jody:
1. Your Sense of Humor
You can make me laugh like no other. Your wit and humor earn you a lot of friends and can make me pee in my pants. You often make me go into the "stupid laugh" and embarrass you. Yes, no matter how much you aggravate me, I know in 50 years we'll be rocking on a porch and you'll still have me in stitches.
2. Your Loyalty
You are the most loyal person I know. Loyal to your family, your friends, your job...no matter what. It is who you are.
3. Your Faith
Your knowledge of the Bible and your desire to learn more and be more amazes me. Your faith is unwavering and you live your life according to God's word...no exceptions. You are a strong Christian and are a wonderful example to me and our children.
4. Your Priorities
Family first...always. You see to it that everyone in your family is taken care of. If you can help, you do. You give freely of your time, talents and gifts to anyone who needs it. Your family appreciates you as much as I do.
5. Your Work Ethic
I think you have taken two sick days in 8 years...you work hard every day for us and we appreciate it more than you know. You work hard so that I can be home with our two sweeties and I can never thank you enough for this.
6. Your Love of Country Life
Corny, maybe, but I love your love of this farm we live on. You are passionate about cattle, pigs, tractors and this land and I can't think of any two luckier boys than ours to be raised here with you teaching them all these things.
7. Your Practical Side
I'm the spender, the anything goes in this marriage and you are the smart, practical one. You are the finance guy and I think we balance each other out pretty well.
8. Your Need to Provide
You are the provider for this family and you take your role very serious. You work hard to ensure we have all we need. We never lack for anything and I know how blessed we are for this.
9. Your Intelligence
You may be the smartest guy I know. You are so smart about business, farming, money and so many other things. You have wonderful ideas and seem to be successful at everything you do. You know so much about so many things, Sam and Jack are lucky to have you as their teacher.
And the thing I love most...
10. Your Love for Two Little Boys
We may not always see eye to eye on discipline and I think you may be a little too harsh at times, but I know that no other person on this planet, but you, loves those boys like me. Your bond with Sam has grown so close over this past year and I see a strong love and friendship developing in front of my very eyes. Jack is over the moon for you and already wants to be with you so badly. I know my Saturdays and Sundays will soon be pretty lonely as the choose to go on adventures with you. Thank you for loving them as much as I do. I hope one day they will know how lucky they are to have you for their Daddy.

That was so special. I am proud of Jody and though I am biased I think he is wonderful. I am also very blessed because he chose such a loving and caring person to spend his life with. Moms get pushed to the side when sons get married but I have always been included in your lives and for that I am thankful. Happy four years and counting.
Love you all,
G-Ma
This is so sweet! And it is so true that your husband is the only one that loves your children like you do!
