Where did the summer go? We are sad to see it coming to an end, though we sure love fall around our house. It seems like only days ago that the pool was opening for summer and now we only have a couple of more weeks to enjoy the water before the season's end. Our trips to the pool were easier than I feared with a new baby in tow and we had such a wonderful time each time we went. It is amazing to see how much Sam and Jack have progressed in the last couple of months. I attribute a lot of their accomplishments to their cousins, Cade and Cannon, who are like fish now in the water. There's nothing like a little friendly competition to make you improve your skills. Sam is now swimming under the water with ease and often opts to leave his water wings at home. He holds his breath for a very long time and has learned how to maneuver his way around the pool very well. Jack still sports his wings in the deep water but has gained such comfort in the water. He goes under like a pro and will swim under the water in the shallow end. Will loves splashing around and will certainly be a wild man in the water next year. I am grateful for another summer with my boys. A summer full of making memories and enjoying ourselves with no schedules or commitments. Thank you, God, for these special days with the little loves of my life.
