Size Matters

I am really bad about reading the size or dimension of an object before I buy it. Really bad. I've ordered all kinds of things that end up being way too small or too large for what I had in mind. I should have learned my lesson about the importance of reading the dimensions of an item when I ordered what I thought was a pretty good sized, monogrammed pillow for Jack's crib before he was born. When it arrived I was appalled at the tiny, tiny pillow that is so small it gets lost in the rocking chair. Yes, I should have learned my lesson then...
But no. I still fail to read the fine print before placing an order. And this time I really outdid myself. I saw a stuffed Santa Claus in Pottery Barn Kids and wanted it to sit by the tree. So I ordered it. And today it arrived. The box was nearly as big our door. Surely, there must be a whole lot of packing peanuts in there, I thought. Nope. It filled the box. I unpacked it and just had to laugh. Jody didn't find it amusing and just walked out of the room shaking his head. Sam and Jack love it though. They roll around on it, use it as a chair, wrestle with it. I'm thinking I should probably return it for the smaller size. And I should definitely start reading the fine print. Definitely.

This makes me laugh! Somehow I am now surprised! This should be good practice for Jack maybe he will be able to sit with the real Santa now!!!

That Santa has the longest legs I have ever seen. He has got to be taller than Jody. I know you had to be shocked when it arrived.
love you
