Our favorite hangout, Chick-fil-a, has started hosting "Toddler Time" a couple of times a month. Today was the first one, and we were excited to check it out (as if we need a reason to go). Sam, Jack and I walked in to find Cannon sitting right beside Mimi the clown and talking her ears off. He was laughing hysterically and telling her all kinds of stories. I asked Allyson what in the world had come over him. I think she was just as shocked. We sat back and watched him carry on with Mimi.
The other three weren't as anxious to play with Mimi. They hung out in the booth, playing with stickers and keeping a close eye on that silly clown.Mimi sang, danced, played with puppets, all with Cannon six inches away from her. He danced, sang and laughed, laughed, laughed. Sam finally decided to inch a little closer when he saw Mimi making balloon animals. He, of course, had to have a yellow bear and realized that clowns actually aren't so bad.
Jack and Landry agreed to go get an animal too, but they insisted on sitting in Allyson's lap, still keeping a close eye on Mimi. She made them both a dog, but Jack had his completely untwisted by the time he returned to our booth. Two seconds later...pop! Mimi was nice enough to make him another dog, and again in record time, he disassembled her handiwork. This time he tried his hardest to make his own creation and he twisted and twisted that balloon. He finally gave up, wrapped it around his neck and declared it was a "Big Snake!"
We headed to the park after Toddler Time and took a nice walk on the nature trail. Another wonderful day, but we all sure miss Cade. It just seems like something is missing without him. And it is.

That looked like it was so much fun. I am glad you were able to go. Wish I could have been there.
