The other day Jody sang to Sam:
"Sam-a-lama. Sam-a-lama ding dong."
You know, that old classic from way back when. Well, Sam stood there a little shocked. And obviously offended. And then he decided to sing a song to his Daddy.
"Daddy, Daddy. Daddy am a do- do ball."
Yes, my little boy thought his Dad was calling him a ding dong. And he found this very rude and decided to make up his own version for a little payback.
"Sam-a-lama. Sam-a-lama ding dong" sounded to him like his Daddy was " Sam am a, Sam am a ding dong."
And now he sings this song an awful lot. Even after our attempts to explain what his Daddy was singing. It's a great chance to say "do do ball" when ever he feels like it. Lesson learned. We'll stick to classic kids' songs in the future.

I have the movie "Grease" we should let him hear the song. Not that it would help. I think he has a new favorite song.
