Jody's mom saved his first pair of cowboy boots and gave them to me before Sam was born. They have been sitting on his dresser for three years now. When I tried them on Sam when he was around 18 months old, I quickly realized I had waited too late and his feet were too big. So back on the dresser they went. Sam knows they are his Daddy's boots from when he was little and that now he gets to have them in his room. The other day I was in Sam's room putting away clothes and Jack threw a fit until I took the boots down for him to see. He automatically flopped down, trying his hardest to stick his chubby little feet inside. I helped him slide them on and he grinned from ear to ear and started prancing up and down the hall. Sam was not about to be left out and insisted that he put on his cowboy boots too. So there they were. One in a diaper, the other in underwear, both in boots. They ran through the house and then outside to parade around the yard. I followed them around admiring their precious little legs in those big boots...the cutest little cowboys I've ever seen.

Love your pictures of the kids at the creek and those little legs in boots.
