16 Months

*Loves being chased...especially if he has grabbed something he shouldn't have.

*10 teeth...bottom molars are finally in...yeah!

*Says "Mama" all the time now...for me, for food, for drink, for toys,for m&ms...I hear "Mama" at least 100 times a day (and I love it).

*Can climb the playground equipment at home and the park to go down the slide by himself.

*Really wants to ride Sam's bike and tricycle.  I put him on his Fropper and he's off it in two seconds looking for something that he is way too small to ride.

*Scared of the Backyardigans...screams, and I mean screams, if they're on.

*Loves chasing Landry, giving her kisses and stealing her bow.

*Rubs Sam's head sweetly before leaning in for a kiss.  Sam gets more kisses from Jack than Mama and Daddy do.

*His hair stays matted and fuzzy in the back no matter how much I wet it and brush it.  It always looks like he just got out of the carseat from a really long ride.

*Can pull out the drawers on the end table in our den and be standing in them before you can say "Stop."

*Can go from Sam's seat at the kitchen table to the middle of the table in two seconds flat.

*Waves his hand really fast when something is hot...blows as hard as he can to cool it off.

*Loves hanging on the door of the stove...real safe, huh?  This drives me nuts...now I know why stoves in new homes have anti-tip brackets underneath them.

*Points to the dvd player in the car as soon as I put him in his carseat and will whine until the movie starts.

*Doesn't like it if you don't go get him as soon as he wakes up in the morning and he'll let you know it.  He'll pout and refuse to let you pick him up.  His anger only lasts about 30 seconds and then he is all smiles.

*Has days when he eats like a horse and others where he eats like a bird.

*Loves his Daddy's cows...maybe even more than Sam does.

*Loves being outside...runs, runs, runs.

*2 surgeries and 14 doctor visits this month...such a trooper and still so happy.  Charmed the pants of the nurses and doctors.

*Steals Q-tips out of our bathroom and "cleans" his own ears.

*Really loves my Roomba vacuum cleaner...places his hands on it and lets it drag him around and loves to pick it up and drop it back on the floor...it continually has error messages...I wonder why?

*Loves, loves, loves his Daddy.

*Refuses to be still for two seconds for Mama to snap a picture.

*Loves making funny faces to make you laugh.

*Losing that baby fat which makes me really, really sad.

*Still has that deep crease in the bottom of his leg at his ankle which makes me really, really happy.

*Pulls a chair up to the counter to steal m&ms out of the jar...smiling at you the whole time.

*Absolutely, positively pure love and sunshine...we are so in love with this little boy.  16 months of wonderful, fun days...where have the months gone?  Time needs to slow down a little so we can savor every hug, giggle and toothy grin.  He is our JOY.
